Metal Roof in Rangeley, ME

East Coast Metal Roofing installed a beautiful roof. They are a great company to work with. It was time to replace the roof on our cabin in Rangeley ME. We wanted to go with a metal roof but the local roofers only did standing-seam metal roofs, and we were advised against that given all of the valleys in our roof. We spoke with three companies in Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire that install metal shingles, including Dave Harrison at East Coast Metal Roofing. Rangeley was further north than any of them had been before. All were priced about the same. We were most impressed with Dave and most confident in the Perma-Lock product and in East Coast’s capacity to complete the task and stand by their work. We agreed in the fall that they would make the installation in spring, and they were true to their word, installing in March. They did a beautiful job. The well-placed snow guards and new chimney crickets give me confidence that the roof will weather the Rangeley winters. I canvassed the grounds for nails or other debris left behind and could find nothing. The house has cathedral ceilings on the second floor, and I was concerned about possible rain noise. Not a problem; the roof is at least as quiet as our prior asphalt roof. I waited through the next winter to write this review. The roof made it through the winter without problem. The following summer, we did lose a shingle. Within hours of texting a picture to Dave Harrison, he put in a service request. The company promptly sent a team up to fix the problem.
